Congratulations on the engagement!! Wishing you so much joy. I've got about two weeks left in this house and then I'm off to the freshest of fresh starts myself. It's a little addictive.

I love this for lots of reasons, but I think the way it stands out is that it's not so much about your family and your young childhood and instead goes into those older-child and teen years. There's that feeling of striving toward adulthood and everything that goes with it... and romance gone wrong and right. And I love seeing it all and feeling it this way.

I'm going to commiserate with you on blue screen of deathness. Computers! I'm supposed to be getting a new one next month; we shall see how that goes.

There. Now we've swatted away that business and we can jump full-force into all that creative energy! I think the notion that an undertaking might not lead to a destination is counter to the predominant modern thinking, as if things are only worth doing if they have a result that you can pinpoint in advance. I think the kind of rich explorations you're talking about are the ones that can change people... who can end up changing everything.

So happy you wrote. Really happy.

So much truth here Amy. I especially love, "life is what's lived during the transitional periods" and 'life is lived between breaths." Beautiful.
